Explore Ocean Depths Aboard Fraser’s 79-Foot Two-Sub U Boat Navigator

Although the ocean accounts for 70% of the Earth’s surface, we’ve explored just 5% of that area. To put it another way — with nearly 95% of the ocean left to be charted and discovered, humans have but scratched the surface of its depths. And while much of that work will be left up to scientists, that’s not to say individuals can’t get in on the action.

Especially if you have cash burning a hole in your pocket and a hankering to charter a yacht through Fraser’s Deep Blue Experience. They’re calling it the ‘U Boat Navigator’ and as its name suggests, it’s a vessel purpose-built for ocean exploration. In practice, this means that it comes with a state-of-the-art diving center, tri-mix facilities, and a diving bell that can operate up to 320 feet deep. However, the real kicker is the pair of custom Triton subs that come along with the experience. Stored on the boat’s aft deck, they include a 3300/3 three-seater and a 3300/1 one-seater — each capable of reaching 3,000 feet and filming some incredible underwater scenery. When you consider that the U Boat Navigator has surveyed such notable wrecks as the HMHS Britannic, it makes for an experience unlike any other. Charter rates start at $145,800.
