Ford F-250 Project SD126 Concept Truck

This year’s SEMA show has been an impressive one, to say the least. And we’ve seen some incredible vehicle reveals, as a result. One of the most impressive, however, is Ford’s Project SD126 – a Super Duty pickup truck optimized for extreme off-road adventures.

The Super Duty platform is already one of the most impressive in Ford’s catalogue. But they spiced it up even further with this big orange beast. Under the hood, it’s loaded with a 6.7-liter turbo diesel V8 mated to a TorqShift six-speed automatic transmission. To pair with the power plant, Ford converted this bad boy to a 126-inch wheelbase short bed, slapped on some race-proven BDS and FOX suspension technology, and widened the body to accomodate four massive 42-inch tires. And while it’s clear that they styled the outside to match the performance, they didn’t skimp in the cab, either, installing a beefy sound system to keep the tunes blasting while you conquer whatever terrain you choose. Hopefully, this monster becomes more than just a one-off concept.
