Rather than cut it in half, we usually just force the entire avocado down in one sitting because preserving fruit can be a huge pain. Food Huggers is looking to completely revolutionize this process, offering up silicone crafted “huggers” to keep any fruit fresher, longer.

Created in San Francisco by Adrienne McNicholas and Michelle Ivankovic, these 100% FDA grade silicone Food Huggers are both BPA and Phthalate free. Simply pop them over any unused fruit, and the Huggers will help preserve all the fruit’s moisture and natural juices. With 4 sizes available, you can be sure that these things will fit any small fruit you can throw at them. When you’re done using them, just toss them into the dishwasher for easy clean up. They’re even freezer and microwave safe as well. The project obliterated its goal on Kickstarter, so you can expect to start seeing these hit the shelves soon. Watch the video below.
