Fitbit has released a new fitness tracker, but it’s doing things a bit differently from the company’s previous models. The Fitbit Luxe is not only the most fashion-forward tracker that Fitbit has ever released, it’s also ushering in a new, more holistic approach to health and wellness from the brand.
The creation of the Fitbit Luxe was inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to better help Fitbit wearers manage their increased stress levels. The tracker introduces new stress management features — which have been rolled out across Fitbit’s current lineup — that include a daily stress management score and on-wrist guided breathing exercises to help improve the health of your mind instead of focusing only on your body. The tracker’s good looks also act as an added pick-me-up, with available jewelry-like accessories that allow for more personalization. And since the Luxe is still a Fitbit, you’ll get all the goodies you’re used to, like automatic activity tracking, sleep tools, health metrics, and smartphone notifications. There’s also five-day battery life and swim-proof water resistance, so even though this tracker looks good enough for the city, it’s plenty robust enough to handle a little outdoor adventure. The Fitbit Luxe is available for pre-order for the base price of $150.
