Effective tools are great – getting tendonitis from working with stiff-handled tools is not. Fiskars, the makers of the iconic orange-handled scissors that are floating around somewhere in one of your drawers, has come out with some impressive new tech for their hammers.

These IsoCore hammers are fitted with a dual layer handle and insulating sleeve to reduce vibration from striking nails. Just how much shock resistance you ask? The brand claims that these new hammers deliver 4 times less vibration from their traditional wood counterparts. In addition to this, each one has a decked out head complete with a nail-insertion notch, and an insert that reduces the high-pitched ringing that happens when you strike a nail. Of course what would a Fiskars tool be without those soft grip, anti-slip orange handles. These hammers range from $45 to $60, depending on size. See it in action below.
Purchase: $45
