Spokane, Washington’s White’s Boots has been producing rugged hand-made leather boots for loggers since before the American Civil War. So when fellow Northwest-based heritage outfit, Filson recently decided to produce a pair of heirloom-quality outdoor boots, the company wisely called on White’s to help co-develop the two’s newest collaborative release, the Fire Hybrid Boot.
The Fire Hybrid is modeled after the boots traditionally worn by US Forest Service firefighters and was engineered to withstand extreme heat. Backed by White’s renowned construction and Filson’s proven materials, these American-made boots are made from an ultra-tough 6.5oz Crazy Chief leather that will develop a charming patina over time, without taking on scuffs or scrapes. Made entirely by hand, the Fire Hybrid boot also boasts a padded collar comprised of Filson’s signature Tin Cloth material and features a resoleable stitch-down construction. Available now (in sizes 8 through 11.5), the Filson x White’s Fire Hybrid Boot has been priced at $575.
