Even the outdoor enthusiast needs to know the time. Seattle-based outdoor brand Filson has officially gotten into the watch business by teaming up with Shinola, and they’re aiming high.
With each watch assembled by hand in Shinola’s Detroit factory, there are two case designs to choose from in 25 different styles. The Mackinaw Field watches are aimed more at everyday use, while the Journeyman style swings more to the elegant wearer. Ranging between $600 and $1,100, each design features a world timer, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, screw-down crown, and highly durable Filson bridle leather and fabric straps. The top-of-the-line Journeyman Chrono features a stainless steel bracelet with matte black PVD plating and anti-fingerprint coating, safety latch closure and a black dial and black eyes with Swiss Super-LumiNova hands, numbers and index to maximize readability.
