Filson Smokey Bear Collection

Category: Style

Created by Albert Staehle in 1944 for the U.S Forest Service, Smokey Bear became the American advertising mascot to promote forest fire prevention. Seattle-based company, Filson, has teamed up with Smokey Bear yet again to continue their tradition of honoring America’s favorite wild lands spokes-bear with a collection of products.

This new limited edition collection consists of a variety of goods, including t-shirts, a pull-over hoodie and drinkware. Our favorite just might be Filson’s cozy Smokey Bear Pullover Hoodie made from a cotton and polyester blend for breathable warmth. The hoodie also has a rib-knit waist and cuffs, as well as a kangaroo hand warmer pocket. Each item has the famed face of Smokey, a design inspired by a three-month old bear cub who was badly burned by the Capitan Gap Fire, reminding us that only we can prevent wildfires. Scoop up one or a few of these limited edition items and help out in honoring Smokey Bear’s vital, timeless message.
