Four years ago, Fender decided to draw upon over 70 years of instrumental experience to create the original American Professional Series. These well-informed models were built to change the game for stage and studio artists, providing them with the finest tools for consistent audio reproduction. Now, for 2020, the brand has decided to fashion its second generation of American Professional instruments, issuing artists yet another evolution in intuitive design, adaptability, and aesthetic.
The Fender American Professional II Series is a collection of finely-crafted electric guitars and basses that have been introduced to support artists across every genre of music. From jazz and funk, all the way to more mainstream pursuits like pop and hard rock, the brand has elaborated on its original AP Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass with new V-Mod II pickups, push-pull switches, rolled fingerboards, sculpted neck heels, staggered tuners, and finishes. In effect, each instrument adopts a more articulate design, improved sustain, and clarity for in-studio/on-stage use. Of course, the American Professional II Series stays true to Fender’s iconic aesthetic, introducing vintage finishes like Olympic White, Sunburst, and Mystic Surf Green, among others. We’ve only skimmed the surface of this updated collection, so head over to Fender’s website to learn more. Models start at around $1,500.
