Fender 80 Proof Whiskey Blues Junior Amplifier
There’s something tremendously sad about the thought of an old whiskey barrel being dumped into a landfill. After all that barrel gave you, you’re gonna throw it in the trash? It’s just not right. We think turning them into Fender amps is a much better idea.
Fender’s new limited edition 80 Proof Blues Junior amplifier features a cabinet crafted from reclaimed whiskey barrel wood. No two are alike, and that’s easily part of the charm. Also quite charming are the brass knobs, leather handle, brass control plate, and Fender logo that’s seared into the wood. Specs-wise each amp delivers 15 watts of all-tube power, reverb, and an upgraded Jensen P12Q 12″ speaker. Only 100 units are being made, with 60 being sold at select US retailers, and they’re going for $1,999 each. [Purchase]
