Back in 2011, Evo Yachts first developed the concept of a transformable hull with a 42-foot cruiser that would fold its midsection outward to double the deck’s size with just the push of a button. Now, the company is taking the concept a step further with the Evo 43, which has sides that open along the boat’s stern quarters to turn the cockpit into a bigger platform.
The boat’s black hull is highlighted by all-teak decks and a futuristic-looking wedge-shaped windshield. When the deck is in the open position, it spans 270 square feet, which is 40 percent larger than before its transformation. For even more deck space, the modular seats can be taken away completely. The boat is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines, which can reach a top speed of 38 knots. It’s a boat that has gorgeous design as well as cutting-edge naval architecture. [Purchase]
