Enviro-Cool V-Tex: Chills Beer in 45 Seconds
During our recent research of hunting down the best pumpkin beers on the planet, we were once again reminded of how frustrating it can be to wait for your beer to get cold. You purchase all these great new brews from the local store, and although you want to enjoy them right when you get home, no one wants to drink a warm beer.
Well the folks at Enviro-Cool may have finally come up with a practical solution, and it’s closer to becoming a reality than you might think. Their V-Tex technology uses a “start stop rotational sequence” to cool beverages from ambient temperature to 5 degrees Celsius in just 45 seconds. The concept has already been tested in commercial applications with success, and with the high demand for an at-home solution, Enviro-Cool is currently working on bringing the same technology to your kitchen counter. While there are no official details on the finished product, it looks as though the V-Tex induced home appliance may be called the Vortex, judging from early concept photos at least. The end product should be able to chill drinks packaged in both bottles and cans. Watch the video below to learn more. [Via]
