Elon Musk’s The Boring Company Flamethrower

Jan 29, 2018

Category: Gear

Back in December of 2017, The Boring Company’s CEO (none other than tech mogul Elon Musk) announced that, if they sold 50,000 baseball caps, they would also release a flamethrower for sale. While that sounds like a wild promise, a prototype image of that very flamethrower has surfaced and is making the rounds.

Unfortunately, there’s little information to be garnered outside of that original image. In fact, there had been a product listing on the company’s website, but it has since been password-protected. What was discovered before that, however, was that this is an early prototype and that the “final production flamethrower will be better.” The page also stated that this futuristic fire-shooter would ship in April – a fact that gives us pause, as it could turn out to simply be a well-executed April Fool’s Joke. If it isn’t, however, pricing for this unique “firearm” is to be set at $500. Fire-extinguisher sold separately.

Purchase: $500
