If you’ve ever ridden your bike to work, you have probably thought to yourself at one point or another; wouldn’t it be nice if it was just a little bit easier to get up that hill? Wouldn’t it be refreshing to show up to work a little less sweaty? Electron Wheel is here to help you do just that.

What sets this thing apart from other electric bikes is how amazingly simple it is. You don’t have to totally retool your existing bike or go out and buy a new one in order to make this work. Just take off the front wheel off your current bike and throw on the Electron Wheel. Boom. You are done in just 30 seconds. And for how straightforward it is to put on your bike, the wheel is remarkably smart.

It intuits the amount of assistance you need by monitoring the incline of the hills and by communicating with the included pedal sensor, so the wheel neutralizes steeper inclines and makes flat terrain that much easier. It can even connect to your smart phone via an app to give you a readout of distance, time, pace, and battery life on the bike. As far as distance and speed goes – this wheel can get you up to twenty, and has a range of 30 miles. To top it all off, it only takes a couple of hours plugged into the wall so you can ride it into work, charge it up, and by the time you need to head home it’ll be good to go. You can pick up either a 700c or 26″ wheel for $800. [Purchase]
