There’s an inherent utility to military gear that, when coupled with its wildly-rugged nature, allows it to lend itself to numerous other applications. Recognizing this reality renowned Spanish customs outfit, El Solitario MC began experimenting with the development of a tactical, military-inspired vest for motorcyclists back in 2012, and after a lengthy R&D process, the ESMC has now released its mil-spec Outlaw Tactical Vest.
Constructed from ultra-durable 1,000D Cordura, the vest looks like your average plate carrier or tactical vest, though boasts a series of subtle tweaks that allow it to better lend itself to riding duties. This includes an integrated three-liter hydration reservoir and tube, an emergency drop pouch, and a collar that enables it to be compatible with off-road neck-braces like Alpinestars’ BNS system. Lined with MOLLE webbing, the Outlaw Tactical Vest also comes with four different MOLLE pouches including a quick-release padded pocket specifically for phones and other electronic devices, and 17 mil-spec swappable Velcro patches that can be used over 20,000 times. Weighing just under 3lbs, the vest is just as durable as anything you’d find join the battlefield, with Duraflex hardware, heavy-duty YKK zippers, and heavy-duty mil-spec seams and construction throughout. Available now in limited numbers, the El Solitario Outlaw Tactical Vest is priced at $633.
