El Solitario ES-1 Motorcycle Jeans

You shouldn’t have to look like a safety cone in order to ride your motorcycle safely. Or at least, so thinks Spanish motorcycle apparel brand El Solitario. In fact, the crew of motorcyclists have built out an entire line of street-ready riding gear, and the real stand out of the collection are the ES-1 Protective Dyneema Jeans.

While they may look like your common pair of black denim jeans, these pants are actually woven with a special fabric called Dyneema. Fifteen times stronger than steel, Dyneema has been used for years on sails, bulletproof vests, and as moors for giant ships. When woven into something like a pair of jeans, the material can help protect from even the gnarliest road rash. This particular pair from El Solitaire has been tested to slide for up to 4 seconds before fraying and exposing the rider. To top it all off, even though these are tough as nails they still fit and feel like a normal denim jeans.
