One of the biggest revelations at CES 2016 is easily Ehang’s Ehang184, a one-seater drone that is intended to be used as a personal transport. That’s right, it’s like a massive air taxi.

In fact, the entirely autonomous aerial vehicle has four arms that hold two propellers each. The 500 pound quadcopter is able to transport up to a 220 pound person at up to 62 mph. With this unique drone, a person can get inside, choose their destination using an on-board app, and then they’re off — that’s it. No pilot license required. It’s entirely electric, so there’s no need for gas or oil. The aircraft uses a fail safe system so that if any components malfunction at all or disconnect, the aircraft will immediately land in the nearest possible area to ensure the safety of the passenger.
