Did ya ever think maybe, just maybe, Rocky wouldn’t have lost to Apollo Creed in their first go-round had he been chugging those raw eggs with the help of an Egg Minder ($70)? Taking smart technology to a place where you had no idea you even needed it (your refrigerator’s egg compartment thingy), the Egg Minder is an elegant little egg carton that lets you know when you’re low on edible embryos. It also gives you a heads-up about which egg is the oldest in your fridge with LED lights. Trust us: If there was ever a food that needed an upgraded expiration date system, it’s the egg.

The Egg Minder holds 14 eggs, runs on a pair of AA batteries, and works with iOS 6 and above, iPhone 4 and above, and Android phones/tablets with OS 2.2 or higher. You can also ‘push’ a reminder to your significant other about the need for eggs. So yeah, maybe the Egg Minder would’ve kept Adrian alive too. Grab yours from Think Geek just in time for the holiday season.
