As firm believers that cooking should serve to inspire creativity not simply act as an everyday task, UK-based Edge of Belgravia is slated to release their newest collection of chef knives through Kickstarter. Here, creativity in the kitchen is accomplished through quality materials and aesthetics. And for them, it comes in the form of the new Kuroi Hana Japanese Knife Collection.

Each knife in this handsome collection features 67 layers of Japanese high carbon steel. The design also lends itself toward a specific layering effect to each blade – known as the Damascus effect. It’s a unique look that was accomplished through their work with London designer Christian Bird in developing these kitchen essentials. The full collection comes complete with a paring knife, utility knife, 2 chef knives, a bread knife and slicing knife. All of which boast an AUS-10 steel core and a hardness rating of 58-60 HRC. Available now for reservation with initial deliveries set for mid-Fall.

Purchase: $99+
