Eames Office’s latest joint effort is courtesy of Globe, a renowned skate brand that’s fully proven its appreciation for refined design upon celebrating the former’s 80th-anniversary last year. Upon reuniting, the newest capsule is highlighted by a quartet of decks shedding light on some of the most iconic designs from Charles and Ray Eames.

Starting with the Eames Silhouette Series, each skate deck is made of robust Canadian maple and walnut veneer wood, then screen-printed on both sides. These prints depict world-famous home products like the Eames Hang-It-All, artistic experiments like the Plywood Sculpture, and the undeniably whimsical Solar-Do-Nothing Machine. Each piece is finished with laser-etched details and a story regarding the origins of each design, serving as a testament to the iconic couple’s mystique and legacy.

Lastly, the collection also features a diamond-tail cruiser board doused in colors inspired by the palette fully inspired by the Eames Toy. This option is crafted using Rosewood and Resin-7 hard-rock maple. And while any design you choose operates as a fully-functioning board, it serves just as well if you hang it on your wall. As mentioned, the two have partnered up in the past to celebrate Eames Office’s 80th anniversary, specifically to design a eucalyptus-crafted board finished with the firm’s most significant motifs. Now, no more than a few months removed, this collaboration is a clear sign they still have plenty more work to do together.
