E-Glide Powerboard All-Terrain Electric Skateboard

We’ve seen a lot of product videos with slick electric skateboards cutting up the concrete jungle, but one thing we hadn’t seen was one of those skateboards veer off the road and onto the grass, gravel, and other bumpy surfaces and keep right on going. But E-Glides boards do just that, and do it with flair.

Despite our just noticing them, E-Glide has been making their powerboards for more than a decade out of their Santa Monica shop. The GT Powerboard features a 36 volt, 800 watt motor, which enables it to do 0-23 MPH in five seconds. Other highlights include a 25-inch aluminum deck, inch Kenda pneumatic tires, and a 22-mile range with a H2A Lithium battery (15 miles with SLA batteries). All this power doesn’t come cheap ($1,199), nor does it come lightly, as the GT Powerboard weighs either 50 or 72 pounds, depending on the type of battery equipped. [Purchase]
