While you probably can’t name any of the individuals involved in designing or engineering your toaster or blender, James Dyson’s propensity for innovation in the home appliance sector has made him and his company household names the world over. And the Wiltshire-based firm continues to innovate via its latest envelope-pushing offering with the all-new Pure Humidify + Cool.
Created by Dyson’s team of engineers and microbiologists, the PH+C is a three-in-one device that automatically purifies air and humidity. A reflective polytetrafluoroethylene tube magnifies and reflects a high-power UV-C light that, when paired with the gadget’s biostatic silver-threaded evaporator, kill some 99.9% of waterborne bacteria in the air. The utilization of Dyson’s existing purification range also enables the PH+C to rid the air of a whopping 99.97% of pollutants (as small as 0.3 microns!). And, on top of being able to detect a room’s temperature and conditions and adjust its humidity levels accordingly, the PH+C can also be controlled using its included remote, or via the Dyson Link app. The system also boasts “Jet Axis Control Technology,” which allows it to toggle between different airflow modes. Offered in White/Silver or Black/Nickel, the Dyson Pure Humidify + Cool is available now, with pricing set at $800.
