The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which is also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an invitational automobile and motorcycle ascent to the glorious summit of Pikes Peak, the Colorado mountain. Racer and stuntman Carlin Dunne will be tackling the challenge, which starts on June 30, using the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Prototype.
The Streetfighter V4 Prototype sports a unique pixelated livery that amplifies its fierce aesthetic. To improve performance and achieve an intimidating look, Ducati stripped the fairings of the Panigale V4 base and equipped the bike with high and wide handlebars. Powering the rocket is a 1103cc V4 engine, meaning it has as much as 211 bhp. The aggressive two-wheel road slicer also has a more relaxed riding construction and aerodynamic details to take on the formidable 14-mile course. Dunne is the first rider to clock in below the 10-minute mark at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, so there’s plenty of potential for him to conquer the course with this monster. You can also expect to see the production version of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 Prototype at the Milan bike show later this fall.
