Speed and ice are usually only associated with one another when it relates to how quickly you fall on your ass after slipping on some. If Paolo Tesio has his way with the ‘Monster of Ice’, however, that could change.
A designer and motorcycle mechanic based in Italy, Paolo has a penchant for reworking one of his country’s most famous exports – the Ducati Monster. He has tons of experience – ever since graduating from the school of industrial design in Turin, Italy , he has been working closely with bikes. In the past he has designed custom Yamaha R6s, concept bikes, and he now sells the custom Texdesign body kit for the Ducati M-S4R. This time around, Paolo has decided to push the boundaries of design with the ‘Monster of Ice’. Still just a concept, his design calls for swapping out the rear wheel for a much larger one, and throwing on studded snow tires for extra traction. The end result would be a Testastretta powered, snow ready vehicle producing 160 horsepower. That would be one psychedelic bike with a scary amount of speed – which is why we love it.
