Ducati has its eyes on the future, but that doesn’t mean they can’t look to the past for inspiration. Transforming the beloved XDiavel cruiser into a menacing track machine, the Ducati DraXter drag racing concept is one beastly bike.

Designed by the Ducati Design Center’s Advanced Design team, this stripped down 2-wheeler is absolutely beautiful. Powering the Italian bike is the company’s 1262cc two-cylinder Testastretta engine that’s ready to race down the strip – all 156 ponies of it. In addition to the beefed up powerplant, it’s also been outfitted with new supporting mods like an upgraded suspension, brake system, lower handlebars and footpegs, and a refined fuel tank to promote that drag-focused riding stance. The DraXter is draped in a matte black paint job with contrasting yellow accents, and finished off with a large #90 to celebrate the brand’s 90th anniversary. As of right now this is just a one-off concept, but it’s definitely one we’re ready to see land on showroom floors.
