Share a conversation with any petrol head in the bike world and the name Ducati is bound to surface sooner or later. The motorcycle outfit is known for superior racing-quality builds and after 90 years in the industry shows no signs of slowing down. Therefore it only makes sense that the Italian firm celebrates nine decades in the biz with a limited edition 1299 Panigale S Anniversario.
The design for the bike complements the award-winning Ducati Panigale. It’s a tribute that’s distinctly racing-inspired. The engine is a Superquadro L-Twin featuring a displacement of a daunting 1285cc releasing 205hp, and hosts an electronic fuel injection system with two injectors per cylinder. The gear box is a six speed with DQS Ducati Quick Shift capabilities and of course this racing-inspired build wouldn’t be complete without a lightweight Monocoque aluminum frame. It’s street legal in both Europe and the US, available in either a Sport pack or Touring pack depending on intended use. No initial word on pricing though but you might want to jump on this opportunity sooner than later as Ducati only plans on making 500 of these tributes.
