DSPTCH Unveils 3 Handsome Hats Made From Indestructible Dyneema Fabric

Aug 24, 2020

Category: Gear

Heralded for its mythic strength-to-weight ratio and flexibility — some 15 times stronger than steel yet still as soft as nylon — Dyneema has seen application in everything from racing boat sails to protective motorcycle jeans. But arguably even more impressive are the super-fabric’s chemical properties — including resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and water. To put it another way: It’s damn near indestructible.

Having already released a range of super-tough Dyneema packs, DSPTCH is clearly eager to expand its use of the legendary material, recently dropping several 6-panel hats constructed with Dyneema-woven twill. Whether it’s over-engineering or simply extra-preparedness, the end result is a hat that’s a cut above the rest and that will outlast anything you throw its way. In addition to its premium construction, each hat comes loaded with DSPTCH details, including a magnetic fastener, mil-spec webbing, and an integrated D-ring for easy attachment. You can pick up this DSPTCH 6 Panel in Ranger Green, Sand, and all-black varieties for $45.
