Fresh on the heels of the debut of its new flagship DS 9 model, top-shelf French automotive outfit, DS Automobiles has now revealed an even more impressive all-electric model with its DS Aero Sport Lounge Concept.

Riding on ornately-designed oversized 23” rims, the DS ASL concept is powered by a Formula E-derived 500kW (671hp) electric motor that allows for 0-60mph times of just 2.8 seconds — placing it on par with the decidedly sporty supercars like the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ or Porsche 911 Turbo S (991). A massive 110kWh battery affords a range exceeding 400 miles. A sleek low-profile design gives the French concept an impressively low drag coefficient, while its stretched 16.4’ wheelbase — 7’ longer than an Escalade — makes for an incredibly smooth and stable ride. As the concept’s name suggests, the DS ASL boasts a luxurious interior with plush seating, a dash with an integrated display that’s bookended by two additional screens, and a generally futuristic and highly-calculated visual theme. The thing also packs a heads up display for the driver and an integrated vehicle AI system (called “Iris”).
