Dr. Martens’ Iconic 1460 Boot Gets A Limited Edition Corduroy Upgrade

If there’s an adamant proponent of punk culture, it’s Jun Takahashi. His transcendental clothing label, UNDERCOVER, has built its reputation on the back of the cultural movement’s mainstays. And now, the brand is joining with one of the genre’s most notable icons, Dr. Martens, for a limited-edition boot.

The Dr. Martens x UNDERCOVER 1460 is a dramatic iteration of the company’s timeless footwear silhouette, adopting Takahashi’s signature styling and militaristic colorway for something a bit more utilitarian. Instead of the shoe’s traditional leather construction, the pair have opted for the introduction of a lavish wale corduroy upper, complementing its rugged demeanor. Aside from its newfound aesthetic qualities, the 1460 remains true to its original persona, calling upon the Docs’ striking silhouette, yellow threading, and signature AirWair rubber soles. Like the many that have come before, each unique pair will be crafted in the company’s Wollaston factory, with only 1460 units slated for release worldwide. Head to the company’s website for more information, or enter the raffle — located within END’s marketplace — for a chance to snag a pair of your own.
