Celebrate 60 Years Of Rebellion With Dr. Martens’ Punk-Inspired Boot

A whopping 60 years ago, Dr. Martens released its very-first boot, the 1460. Since that time, perhaps no other footwear has been more closely tied to sub- and counterculture movements. Now, to celebrate six decades of rebellion, Dr. Martens has teamed up with BEAMS and Babylon to release this limited-edition 1460 Remastered boot.

The third collaboration in the Remastered line, this special release is inspired directly by punk rockers and rudeboys — harkening back to Dr. Martens’ unique origins and associations. And while the general silhouette of the 1460 Remastered is as iconic as ever, it’s clear that BEAMS and Babylon have added their own touches, including the former’s signature minimalism and the latter’s core skate roots. The subtle reimagining, which trades out the original boot’s signature yellow details for orange ones and features subtly stamped leather iconography, will be available by lottery and are priced at roughly $184 per pair.

Purchase: $184
