Dodge may be parting ways with its iconic crosshair grille, but by the looks of this new Challenger render, maybe they shouldn’t. Designer Yasid Oozeear of Yasid Design has rendered his own version of a Challenger SRT Demon concept, and it actually makes the crosshair grille look good.
The render brings the crosshair grille to the Challenger for the first time, moving it lower on the front end to act as an air dam. The grille seamlessly blends with the front splitter, leaving the upper portion of the front fascia less cluttered and more streamlined. Angular fender flares add an aggressive look, while the thin stacked LED headlights and aerodynamic cylindrical side mirrors bring a futuristic element. A sizable rear diffuser and dramatic rear-window spoiler serve as reminders that this machine was built for speed above all else. To top everything off, the render is finished in a striking silver and yellow color scheme that was inspired by the 1968 Porsche 908 racecar. Dodge, we hope you’re taking down some notes.
