Amphibious Dobbertin Hydrocar
Half road wrecker and half sea monster, this hybrid vehicle comes from the innovative mind of Rick Dobbertin, a man known for epic modifications. Taking a decade to build and costing in excess of $1 million, this engineering marvel is now up for grabs.
Once you hit the water in this amphibious vehicle, the sponsons are lowered about eight inches to transform the Hydrocar into a tunnel-hulled watercraft in mere seconds. The central body of the adventure vehicle is built with 304-grade stainless steel while the frames of the sponsons are made with marine-grade 5086 aluminum. For massive power to rip through the land, the Hydrocar is packing a 572 cubic-inch Chevrolet engine with 762 horsepower. It’s also sporting twin ‘SuperTrapp’ stainless-steel racing mufflers so you can hear every one of those aggressive 762 horses. In the water, it runs on a 750-horsepower upgraded version of the ASD-6 Arneson Surface Drive with a Rollo six-blade stainless-steel unit. The auction for this vehicle is offered without reserve by Worldwide Auctioneers.
