The market has been flooded recently with drones. If you have a GoPro action camera, there’s a drone for it. If you own a smartphone, there’s probably a drone you can plug it into. There’s even a home security system that’s drone-based. That doesn’t mean, however, that all the bases have been covered in the flying robot industry. For instance, there is still plenty of ground to cover in regards to both hobbyist and professional filmmaking. That’s where DJI’s new Inspire 2 drone comes into play.

Though the flight time might seem a tad short – 25-27 minutes – the features on this airborne camera bot are nothing shy of impressive. It boasts a control range of an astounding more than 4 1/3 miles, a top speed of over 67 mph, and can record video of up to 5.2k quality. And that video can be viewed, in real-time, at up to 1080p resolution. It even supports multiple cameras that function independently of the flight controls. This game changer, which is presently on pre-sale, retails for $2,999. [Purchase]
