DJI Inspire 1 Drone
Another day, another new drone hitting the tech scene. DJI has been praised for building some of the best drones on the market, and it looks like the DJI Inspire 1 drone may be another notch on the belt of success.
The Hong Kong based brand’s most notable drone, the DJI Phantom 2 Vision has been a huge hit with fans, but innovation slows for no man – or drone. When it comes to piloting mechanics, the Inspire 1 is intuitive (the company claims that anyone can fly it with ease), and transforms as it elevates, folding the carbon fiber legs up after takeoff. It also offers up dual operator controls, which lets you pilot the actual drone, while your friend or colleague handles camera duties. And that brings us to our favorite part – the camera. The Inspire 1’s camera has the ability to shoot unobstructed 360-degree aerial videos in 4K while also being able to take 12 megapixel photos. The downward facing camera will also alert you when you’re coming to close to the ground, deploying its landing gear for you ensuring you don’t come in for a crash landing. The Inspire 1 has just begun landing at select retailers with a sticker price of $2,900. If the previously released Phantom is any indication though, you can expect the price to come down a bit after the holiday season. [Purchase]
