With 50 million subscribers around the world as of April, it’s safe to say that Disney’s foray into the world of streaming services is a tremendous success. And a lot of that success is owed to the work of Jon Favreau and his crew on the service’s breakout hit The Mandalorian. Now, Disney+ is going to give subscribers a never-before-seen look behind the scenes in a new docuseries called Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian.
Across eight individual episodes, this cinematic journey takes a deep dive into the processes that brought the celebrated Star Wars series to life. That includes roundtable discussions with filmmakers and actors like Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni, Gina Carrano, and (of course) the Mandalorian himself, Pedro Pascal. It also includes in-depth looks into the sets, costumes, and puppeteer work, and more. For fans of Star Wars and movie-making alike, this docuseries is going to be a must-see. Catch it on Disney+ starting on May 4th.
