DFP Fishing Kayak with Retractable Pontoons

Hitting the local lakes and rivers aboard our kayak is one of the most relaxing ways to spend our weekends, but there’s always been one problem. Kayaks don’t offer stability when you stand up, making it difficult to fish (which happens to be one our favorite pastimes as well).

The DFP Kayak looks to solve this problem, offering up a fully functional kayak equipped with pontoons on each side of the vessel for stability. Simply open up the pontoons when you want to “anchor,” and fold them back up when you want to get moving again. Not only does the Dive-Fish-Paddle kayak allow you the ability to stand up, but it also comes equipped with plenty of storage room as well, another rarity among kayaks. The Redding, California based team at True Recreation came up with the concept, and they are currently looking for funding on Kickstarter.
