Deus Opens A New Flagship Store In Seoul’s Artsy And Vibrant Mapo District
While the ongoing global pandemic has thrown a wrench in the works of a great many businesses, stores, and startups, custom motorcycle and lifestyle powerhouse Deus Ex Machina has continued steadily building its empire, opening brick and mortar locations in Asakusa, Japan and Berlin, Germany in August and October. And now, just in time for New Year’s Eve 2020, Deus has opened the doors to its latest branch with “The Foundry Of Fortuity” in Seoul, South Korea.
Despite the logistical issues and delays brought on by COVID-19, the Deus team nonetheless managed to completely design and build the location in under six months. Located on the western edge of the capital in the city’s Mapo-gu district—an artistic and cultural hub in the region—The Foundry Of Fortuity was penned by a Milan-based architectural firm and features a modern exposed brick and metal-clad interior, tastefully decorated in typical Deus fashion. On top of a full retail shopping area, the new location also packs a working five-star bakery and cafe headed up by a renowned “bake-ologist” that was “pouched” from a Four Seasons Hotel. Currently displaying several custom motorcycle collaborations between Deus and Crazy Garage, the Deus Ex Machina The Foundry Of Fortuity Seoul Store & Cafe is currently open to the public.
