Descente & Gloverall Collide On A Technical Water-Repellent Puffy Parka

Descente ALLTERRAIN remains at the forefront of technical, outdoor apparel, making it a perfect candidate for an upcoming partnership with heritage-focused menswear brand, Gloverall. As a result, the pair has announced the release of the cutting-edge “Down Duffle” — a contemporary homage to Gloverall’s original Monty.

The Descente ALLTERRAIN x Gloverall Down Duffle is an interesting garment that incorporates an array of new features for its upcoming debut, making it one of the most technically-adept jackets that we’ve seen this year. Not only does it utilize a unique thermo-compression technique to promote internal temperature regulation, but it’s also been crafted with a wool-like DERMIZAX TEXTURED TWILL 2L fabric, resulting in above-average water repellency due to its non-quilt thermal bonding. Traveling upward, wearers will find that the coat’s bespoke Parahood system has been built from the ground up to prohibit water pooling; although, it can be removed rather easily through the use of Descente’s rapid-release Para-Zip detailing, should you feel the need. To round things out, a heritage-inspired jute rope toggle closure and dual-zipper ventilation system allow for adequate temperature regulation within the heavyweight garment. Head to Gloverall’s website to pick up one of your own for $1,740.
