Derek Jeter Re2pect Video Tribute

Aug 18, 2014

Derek Jeter banged out a couple of hits in his 14th and final MLB All Star Game last night, and Nike sent one of its biggest stars out with a doozy of a video tribute/commercial.

This 90-second spot, called RE2PECT, is made with Hollywood style and celebrities galore, all tipping their cap to the retiring Yankees captain and Jordan Brand ambassador for the past 15 years. Michael Jordan himself, Tiger Woods, Billy Crystal, Spike Lee, Jay-Z, Carmelo Anthony, Phil Jackson, Joe Torre, Mariano Rivera, Rudy Giuliani, members of the NYPD and NYFD, and more all make appearances with a subtle nod and salute. What we want to know is how do Red Sox and Mets fans feel about seeing their players honor the man who helped beat them so many times over the past two decades?
