Denny Bicycle: The Bike Of The Future
Think you’ve seen it all in the world of bikes? Think again. Just when you thought you’d seen every smart bike the market had to offer, Denny was born – and it’s nothing short of mind blowing.
Created as a collaboration project between the Seattle based industrial designers at Teague and bike makers Sizemore bicycles, this 2-wheeler just won the crown at the Oregon Manifest design contest. This bike is packed full of technology from the removable handlebars that double as a lock to the electric drive pedal assist to ensure those pesky hills during your morning commute will be easy to tackle. There’s also a removable battery, storage system, a minimal fender with rear tire rocks to reduce tire spray, and a built-in auto LED headlight alongside turn signals that can be easily activated by tapping the side of either brake handle. This thing is going into production, and is set to hit the retail market during 2015. Be sure to check out the video below to see the bike in action. [Purchase]
