With the pandemic confining most of us to an (extremely) extended WFH leave over the past year, video conferencing has become more important in our day-to-day communication than ever. Granted, some employees are finally making their return to the office, but for others, remote work will continue to be that “new normal.”
As such, Dell has just announced an innovative new webcam that’ll have you looking your best no matter the lighting conditions. Dubbed the ‘UltraSharp,’ it’s been designed to deliver DSLR-grade image quality while still offering intuitive intelligent operation. At the heart of the cam is a Sony STARVIS CMOS 8.3MP sensor, enabling 4k recording at up to 30fps as well as 720p and 1080p recording at up to 60fps. In other words, you can kiss the days of dropped calls and grainy videos goodbye. But that’s not all; the UltraSharp also allows you to change its field of view, supporting 65°, 78°, and 90° crops and up to 5x digital zoom. Rounded out by features like AI-based auto-framing and auto-light correction, it’ll work on both Windows 10 and macOS machines. Buy it now for $200.
