Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme Notebooks
Taking out your workday frustrations on a stress ball or dart board just doesn’t offer the same visceral punch that say, slamming your laptop to the ground would. But then there’s that pesky issue of getting it to work ever again. Fear not; Dell is on the case.
Dell’s two new ‘Rugged Extreme’ laptops are meant for encountering major resistance, including plenty of drops and the ability to withstand jets of water and dust. The Latitude 14 features a 14-inch screen, the latest-generation of low voltage Haswell Intel Core processors, up to 512GB of solid state storage, up to 16GB of RAM and a 6- or 9-cell battery good for at least 12 hours of juice. The Latitude 12 (11.6-inch screen) is a convertible tablet in the style of Dell’s XPS 12, with a hinged multi-touch screen, rear-mounted camera, and 4-cell battery that Dell says will get you through a whole day of work.
