This Wind Tunnel-Tested Camping Tent Can Be Erected In Two Seconds Flat

After a long day out on the trail, the last thing anyone wants to do is spend half-an-hour piecing together the various elements that constitute the average camping tent. Knowing this, Decathlon set out to create a quality two-person tent that can be erected or broken down in as little time as possible, ultimately giving way to the California company’s 2 Seconds EASY Tent.

Like its moniker implies, the 2SET can be set up in literally seconds thanks to a patented “pitch and folding” system that allows pulling and locking cords — activated via an easy-to-use button — to raise the tent (or unlock to break-down). Constructed with seams that are reinforced via thermo-bonded tape, this quick-setup tent features a 120g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, a 2,000mm PU-coated polyester sheet, and a special black fabric that blocks out up to 99% of daylight. Measuring 81″ x 57″ and boasting an internal (maximum) height of 43.3”, the tent has also been wind-tunnel tested to withstand gusts of over 30mph. The tent’s speedy setup does result in it weighing in on the heavier side, though at 10lbs, it’s not much heftier than your typical three-person tent. Priced at $199, the Decathlon 2 Seconds EASY Tent is currently available for preorder.
