After all the hoopla, it turns out Hollywood is moving forward with their plans to release a Deadpool movie, and today we get a look at the first official red band trailer for the film.

Deadpool rumors have been lingering for years now, and after a leaked clip depicting none other than Ryan Reynolds playing the anti-hero everyone loves, we knew it was only a matter of time before this thing came to fruition. The film will be based on the comics from Marvel, which sees Special Forces operative Wade Wilson turned into a mercenary with accelerated healing powers after a rogue experiment to find a a cure for cancer goes wrong. The alter ego Deadpool is born, and the world is now gifted a darkly hilarious mercenary with superhuman abilities. Watch the three minute trailer above, and prepare for the feature film to hit the big screen on February 12, 2016.
