Danner Weatherized Boot Collection

As much as we don’t want to believe it (then again maybe we do), winter is coming. And with this seasonal change in the not-too-distant future, Portland-based Danner is thinking ahead with the release of their Weatherized Collection – spearheaded by their all-new Raptor 650 mountaineering boot.

Inspired by life in mountain towns where winter trekking is a daily ritual, the Raptor 650 utilizes the same platform as the Explorer 650 hiking boot but with added features such as 400G PrimaLoft insulation, fleece-lined uppers with both wool and full-grain leather, and the brand’s Danner Dry waterproof protection throughout. Additionally, the boot’s Vibram SPE midsole and Escape outsole with Megagrip technology provide superior traction on wet and icy surfaces. Also included in the collection is a winterized Mountain 600 – complete with enhanced insulation compliments of 200G PrimaLoft, a Vibram Fuga outsole, and Danner Dry waterproof protection as well. Both are slated to retail for $250 and $220 respectively this fall.
