Danner Mountain 600 Low

Danner, the classic hiking and work boot brand based out of Portland, Oregon, has just added a new variant to their popular Mountain 600 style boot. Introducing the Danner Mountain 600 Low.

As one would expect, the boot features much of the same great technology and stylings as its high-top brother – just without the extra ankle support. That means when you are feeling more of a light day-hike instead of a longer over-night weekend trip with your friends, these will be your go-to. Featuring either a suede or full grain leather upper along with a 100% waterproof barrier to keep moisture from getting in, they’ll be good for trouncing through streams or keeping your feet dry during the rain. What really sells this boot in our minds, though, is the combination of the solid American made build with the Vibram SPE mid and Fuga outsole. These both provide incredible cushioning along with solid traction for grip on steep inclines and loose gravel. Prices are set at $160. [Purchase]
