If anyone knows boots, it’s Danner. The Portland, Oregon based brand has been turning out high quality boots built for serious use since 1932. Now, the team at Danner has joined forces with Vibram to put together a brand new technology for their newest boot, the Mountain 600.
Part of the new Performance Heritage line, the boot utilizes the first ever SPE midsole. The whole idea behind the new midsole was to create a material that was both lasting and supportive, something they achieved by combining EVA with a rubber cushioning. To top it off (or bottom it out?) the folks at Danner threw a super grippy and adaptive Vibram Fuga outsole on the boot. The best part, though? This great new tech comes in an even better package. With a suede upper equipped with a Danner Dry lining liner and a moisture-wicking collar, this boot is a bit of a departure from the heritage-style boots the company has been known for putting out, but it comes off as being just as well executed. Prices for these boots start at $180. [Purchase]
