Danner Adds 4 New Styles To Its USA-Handmade GORE-TEX Boot Lineup

Danner’s significant influence over the outdoor industry is felt far and wide, thanks, in large part, to the brand’s timeless stylings. But, another attractive characteristic of the Portland-based boot builder is also one of its strongest selling points: a USA-made commitment that keeps everything local, and intimate. Now, Danner has decided to update its hand-built “Portland Select” range with four new iterations — the Light 40th Anniversary, Light Revival, Ridge S’mores, and Mountain Pass S’mores.

Each of the heritage-imbued boots is handmade in Danner’s Portland factory and boasts a selection of remarkable upgrades that stay true to the company’s nostalgic roots. The rugged Danner Light 40th Anniversary Edition, which pays homage to the industry’s first-ever GORE-TEX-lined model, arrives with a trail-ready Vibram Kletterlift outsole, black toe wrap, and heel counter, while the Feather Light Revival boasts improved leather trim, a tan side panel, and other vintage properties. To round out the collection, both the Mountain Pass and Danner Ridge have been dressed in a great-looking S’mores colorway, made notable by the boots’ chocolate-hued leather and subtle evergreen colors. Each has been outfitted with the company’s versatile GORE-TEX liner, working alongside a lightened silhouette to provide the ultimate balance of trail-savvy form and function.
