Founded by Simon Dabadie in 2017, DAB Motors is a Biarritz-based custom bike shop that specializes in the use of ultra-cutting-edge design and production techniques such as 3D modeling and additive manufacturing. Two years ago, DAB utilized these resources to deliver the LM-S, the world’s first-ever Euro4-certified custom motorcycle. Thanks to an online configurator, anyone can now design and order their own LM-S, however, the latest specimen to leave the shop is special for a different reason, having been born out of a collaboration with world-renowned Parisian photographer Mathieu Cesar.
Boasting one of the most stacked and impressive portfolios of any photographer alive today, Cesar has worked with a slew of household names, being called on to shoot by everyone from Ford and Mini Cooper to Daft Punk, Neymar Jr, Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie, Pharell Williams, and Buzz Aldrin, just to name a few. Simon then worked with Cesar to deliver a bespoke version of the Husqvarna 510-based LM-S that would capture some of the qualities that the Parisian photographer’s work is known for, resulting in a thoroughly clean, raw, and well-balanced build with a fully-desaturated black and white livery.
