Porsche Actually Built The 1977 911 Turbo From ‘Cyberpunk 2077’

If you’ve kept up with Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll know that its lead character will be based on Keanu Reeves. Known as Johnny Silverhand, Reeves’ in-game double is an ex-vet who was once the head of a band called Samurai. Having played a key part in the fight against the mega-corporations dominating Night City, he then disappeared much to everyone’s chagrin. If he wants to succeed in his revolutionary role, including this sweet 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo.

While you might think a 100-year-old Porsche an odd car for a futuristic anti-hero, it’s hard to argue against the 930. In-game, the car has been fitted with a host of upgrades, and the developers at CD Projekt have spared no expense on the details. For instance, the door mirrors have been replaced with cameras, the front end has been fitted with lidar, and the gearbox is now controlled by an automatic unit capable of fully-autonomous driving. What’s more, the 3.0-liter flat-six engine has been modified to run on biofuel with the help of some custom exhaust. In addition to the car appearing in-game, Porsche has made a real-life rendition of Silverhand’s steed. It’ll be on display outside the Stuttgart museum from October 15th until October 22nd.
